The System that we Love to Hate and Hate to Love

This is by far one of the MOST EPICALLY INCREDIBLE spoken word performances that I have ever seen in my 23 years on this Earth, speaking to the nature of the African American community.  It speaks on the rules and the exceptions. It just hit home in the context of recent experiences and was delivered in such a powerful way that I couldn’t help but be fired up!

People say there is no hope and that we are victims, and I say nay! We will be the change.

Almost…ALMOST makes me want to start recording the spoken word pieces that formulate spontaneously in my head. Maybe one day.
